I will keep substituting players – Klopp sends warning to Salah
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp in a recent statement has stated that nothing would stop from substituting any player in his squad if there is any need for it.
This is coming after Liverpool star forward, Mohammed Salah expressed disbelief when he was being substituted during the game vs. Chelsea at Anfield on Thursday night.
The expression on the Premier League highest scorer’s face showed he never expected to be substituted and this has sparked different reactions in the world of sport after the match.
Speaking on the issue, Klopp stressed that no headline can stop him from making such decisions.
“I think he enjoys the pressure [of being top scorer],” Klopp said.
The German manager stated that Salah has been outstanding and he could have changed other players on Thursday night but it was more about who the Reds brought in.
Klopp stated that Salah looked like he felt the intensity and maybe saw it differently.
“We make these decisions at the moment. Then we have to explain it and you make stories. These discussions we’ve never had,” Klopp added.
Liverpool suffered another home defeat to Chelsea in their last match and have dropped out of the top four on the league table.
