How Pochettino can avoid sack at Chelsea after Carabao loss

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has come under pressure following the club’s recent loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup finals.

The defeat has increased the calls for the Argentine’s sack at Stamford Bridge.

However, football ournalist Ben Jacobs in a recent statement said Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali want to give Mauricio Pochettino time.

In his column for Si Phillips Talks Chelsea, Jacobs opened up on the only way the former Tottenham Hotspur boss could avoid being sacked.

According to Jacobs, the Argentine has to get through the Blues’ next four fixtures and it is “almost certain” that he will not be dismissed before the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s next three games in the Premier League are not easy as they will take on Brentford and Newcastle United, who have both already beaten them this season, and then Arsenal.

Before then, the Blues face Leeds United in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
