How Guardiola blocked this player from joining Arsenal

A recent report has revealed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola prevented the club’s star Aymeric Laporte from moving to Arsenal.

This claim was made public by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, who said the Gunners were interested in signing Laporte.

However, after the Gunners challenge them for the Premier League title last season with the signing of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, the Citizens are now unwilling to do business with the North London club.

“It’s true that they appreciate a player like Aymeric Laporte. At the beginning of the market at the end of June and beginning of July, they considered a move for Laporte, but it was very expensive.

“Man City weren’t keen on selling another player to Arsenal after Gabriel Jesus, Zinchenko and all the others. So, that’s why it was not an easy one,” Romano said on GiveMeSport.
