He is a proper striker – Man Utd told to sign Napoli star

Former Man Utd star Teddy Sheringham has handed the club the name of a striker they should sign this summer transfer window.

It is no longer news the Red Devils are keen on welcoming a new striker this summer in a bid to bolster their attacking line as they plan to compete for every title next season.

So far, they have signed a midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea and a goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan.

However, Sheringham in his statement urged his former club to make a move for Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

According to him, Osimhen is a proper nine that can lead their attack.

“Manchester United have always brought in top, top quality strikers to help them challenge for the title,” Sheringham told Lord Ping.

“But it looks like United may have to look elsewhere for a forward this summer.

“I am not sure about [Rasmus] Hojlund at Atalanta but I do really like [Victor] Osimhen at Napoli – he looks like he knows where the goal is. He’s a proper number nine that leads the line.”
