Havertz wins Chelsea goal of the month of March

Chelsea star Kai Havertz has won the club goal of the month of March after his brilliant winner against Newcastle United was highly chosen by Chelsea supporters as the best goal in March.

Havertz was in impressive form for the Blues last month, scoring four times in his three Premier League appearances, with the dramatic 89th-minute goal at Stamford Bridge to seal a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United.

The credit for the goal also goes to Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, who created the assist after he picked out Havertz with a ball over the top.

Havertz’s winner to beat Newcastle was chosen as the fans’ favourite by a significant margin, with a massive 63 per cent of the Blues supporters on the official Chelsea website and The 5th Stand app choosing it as the Goal of the Month.

In a distant second place in the poll, receiving 13 per cent of the votes was Reece James’s twisting solo effort against Burnley at Turf Moor, followed by Mason Mount’s goal at Norwich City and then Hakim Ziyech’s at Middlesbrough, on eight and seven per cent respectively.
