Good signing: Carragher hails Chelsea latest signing

Former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher in a recent statement described Chelsea’s new signing, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a great and brilliant player.

Chelsea thanks to their new co-owner Todd Boehly were able to complete moves for the former Arsenal striker to London from Barcelona on transfer deadline day.

Aubameyang during his six months stint at Barcelona scored 13 goals in 24 appearances for the Catalan side.

Before he left the Premier League in the January transfer window, the Gabon international scored 92 goals in 163 games for the Gunners.

Following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan, and Timo Werner to RB Leipzip this summer, Chelsea were keen to sign a new striker.

“He’s a quality player, there is no doubt about that,” Carragher said of Aubameyang on Sky Sports. “I think it’s a good signing.

“I think it’s a good signing for Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea.

“I’m delighted he’s back in the Premier League because he’s a brilliant player.”

The former Arsenal star could make his debut for Chelsea against West Ham United this weekend.
