Shearer suggested that the likes of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez made Gallagher to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

While Gallagher was one of Chelsea’s best players last season, his exit from Stamford Bridge to Spanish LaLiga side Atletico Madrid surprised fan’s and supporters.

But Shearer opined that Caicedo and Fernandez played a key role in Gallagher’s exit from the West London club because the duo were always ahead of him.

Shearer told Betfair that the issue Gallagher had was when Chelsea started paying the vast amounts of money for Caicedo and Fernandez.

The amount Chelsea splashed to sign Caiceo Fernandez meant they to play to justify the transfer, which wasn’t a good for Gallagher.

With limited game time, Shearer, believes this was part of what prompt Gallagher to leave Chelsea.
