Fulham manager linked to Chelsea job
Fulham manager Marco Silva has reportedly been named as a surprise candidate to land the vacant Chelsea job after manager Graham Potter was sacked on Sunday night.
Recall that the Blues sacked Potter after their Premier League 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
The outcome of the match against Aston Villa saw Chelsea drop to the 11th position on the Premier League table.
Following Potter’s sack, a number of top managers in Europe have already been linked with the vacant position and a shock candidate from the Premier League has also emerged.
According to The Mirror, Silva has admirers at Chelsea and he is one of the leading candidates to replace Potter at Stamford Bridge.
Silva has helped oversee Fulham’s incredible season so far, with his team sitting one place above Chelsea on the log.
Aside from Silva, former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann and former Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino have also been named as candidates to take over at Chelsea.
