Frank Lampard bemoans Chelsea congested Premier League fixtures
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has joined the list of top managers in the Premier League to lash out at the upcoming fixtures of their team.
Frank Lampard in the past few press conference has been forced to address the issues of his players and his club transfer plan ahead of the next transfer window.
He has now joined Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, and Ole Gunnar Solskjær in speaking out against poor scheduling.
Lampard whose team will be facing Arsenal in the next few hours noted that the fact that it’s two games in 48 hours is an important point for Chelsea, other teams who are challenging at the top of the League that play two games in three days.
Teams like Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool play two games in three days.
According to Lampard, the congested fixtures is counter-productive for the quality of the Premier League.
He noted that it’s a risk for players if they are going to play both games at the top-end elite sport, everybody knows that.
Not leaving any stone unturned, Lampard added that sometimes the blame can be put on the broadcasters.
Lampard concluded that it’s not a fair playing field for his players as it will ensure they are not going to play at their top level.
