Four players that could replace Lukaku at Chelsea
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku was in the news for a few days owing to his controversial interview with Sky in Italy, where he revealed he was unhappy at Stamford Bridge and would love to return to Inter Milan.
While the issue has been sorted between Lukaku and the Chelsea hierarchy as he will remain at Stamford Bridge to the end of the season.
There are, however, reasons to believe Chelsea could sell him in the summer transfer window and replace him with another player.
The report has emerged that Chelsea didn’t initially want to sign Lukaku last summer. Instead, the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel hoped to bring Erling Haaland.
Haaland will be available for just £66million this summer due to a clause in his contract, which means the Blues could go all out to sign him as a replacement for Lukaku.
Another striker the Blues could sign as Lukak’s replacement is Inter Milan’s, Lautaro Martinez.
The third player is Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, who wanted to leave the Spurs last season but ended up staying at the club following the arrival of former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte.
And the fourth player is Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak, who has been linked with moves to North London club, Arsenal.
