Former Man Utd captain advised to leave

Former Premier League star, Darren Bent has sent a message to Manchester United defender and former captain, Harry Maguire on his future at the club.

Bent in his statement urged Maguire to leave Old Trafford amid interest for him from rivals West Ham United.

According to Bent, it was best for Maguire to start again at another club because he is not wanted at Old Trafford.

Maguire lost his captain band and appears to have fallen out of favour under Man United manager Erik ten Hag.

The England star made just 16 appearances across competitions for Manchester United last season.

Maguire, who was recently stripped of the club’s captaincy before the start of the new Premier League season moved to Old Trafford from Leicester City for £80 million in 2019.

“Does he [Maugire] want to stay at a club where they don’t want him? Get out and start again. He can restart his career at a big club,” Bent said on talkSport.
