Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has expressed his desire to return to the English Premier League as manager.

Recall that Fabregas was at Arsenal last season where he worked the club’s youth team.

Since his retirement from professional football, Fabregas transitioned into football management and is currently an assistant coach for the first team at Serie B side Como.

In a bid to pursue a career as a coach in top flight club, the Spaniard is set to pursue a UEFA Pro coaching license to boost his chances.

Speaking on his desire, the former midfielder revealed he wants to be a main coach some day.

“100 per cent my ambition one day is to coach a top club in the Premier League, the Champions League,” he said via Standard Sport.

Fabregas suggested he is ready to take up the challenge to be a first team manager in top European football leagues including the English Premier League.

“But you need to respect the right steps. I feel I am ready to be a first-team coach already so I don’t want to go into these types of little coaching on the side or being an assistant. I have very clear things in my mind that I just want to be a main coach, a first-team coach, and that’s why I will do my own way until I am ready to jump onto a big train,” he added.
