Former Chelsea star comfortable with his price tag as he welcomes ex- teammate
Former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has insisted that he’s comfortable with the £28m fee AC Milan paid Chelsea for his services this summer.
Tomori spent six months on loan at AC Milan last season, and he was impressed with his performance, a move that saw the Serie A giants activated an option-to-buy clause in their contract.
However, his price tag of £28.5m has raised eyebrows in some quarters with that fee making Tomori one of the most expensive English central defenders of all time.
However, Tomori, in a recent interview, stated that the price tag has no burden on him.
According to Tomori, it is a great satisfaction to feel this trust around him, and everyone is helping him. He added that he knew Milan is the right place.
Tomori also heaped praise on Giroud, who joined AC Milan from Chelsea on Saturday.
According to Tomori, Giroud is a very kind person and a great forward, noting that the Frenchman has immense experience, has played in great teams, and has consistently scored a lot and, above all winning a lot.
Tomori added that Giroud would help the club in its quest to achieve more success.
