Former Chelsea manager snubs new job
Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly turned down a coaching job at Serie A side Sevilla.
Before Sevilla hired Jorge Sampaoli as their manager, the LaLiga club had made a move for Tuchel, according to BILD reports.
Sevilla reached out to Tuchel before sacking Julen Lopetegui, but the German turned them down as he is looking for a “bigger challenge”.
Tuchel has been without a coaching job since he was sacked by Chelsea last month after a sluggish start to the season.
The Blues co-owner, Todd Boehly, replaced the Germany international with ex-Brighton manager, Graham Potter, who has gone on to impress at Stamford Bridge.
Sevilla have since hired Sampaoli before parting with Lopetegui a fortnight ago.
It is yet to be known when Tuchel would return to football management, having coached tops clubs like Paris Saint Germain PSG, and Borussia Dortmund in the past.
