Frank Lampard might have assembled a strong team enough to give him victory against Luton Town in their FA Cup fourth round clash but that has not stopped the speculations on his future.

The English trainer has been linked with a move away from Chelsea following the club bad run in the Premier League.

Chelsea have failed to convince fans with their performance this season as they are currently languishing in ninth place despite qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 unbeaten.

Their run in the FA Cup have also been impressive as there have been reports that Lampard might be given enough chance to win a trophy.

However, according to the Mirror, Leicester City boss and former Chelsea coach, Brendan Rodgers will be taking over from Lampard if he’s eventually shown the exit door.

Rodgers has done a great job at Leicester City with the foxes ahead of Chelsea and beating them in their last meeting.

The reports added that his work at Leicester City have been monitored for the past few weeks and he has been highlighted as the right man to steady the ship at Chelsea.

Lampard will be eager to get his team back on track as they continue their Premier League survival against Wolverhampton Wanderers next in the league.
