Former Chelsea manager gives condition to join new club
Portugal international Jose Mourinho is ready to take up the new manager role at Al-Shabab, but only on one condition.
Mourinho had previously rejected the chance to coach in the Saudi Pro League, as he was determined to see out his contract with Italian club AS Roma.
However, the 64-year-old former Chelsea manager was sacked this week and is free to take on any job.
According to a report via Sky Sport Italia, the negotiations are continuing well.
Sports reporter, Turki Alghamdi claimed he spoke directly with Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes, who confirmed that his client has given the all-clear to join Al-Shabab, but only on one condition.
Mourinho demands that they are able to bring in “star names” to the club.
As of now, Al-Shabab are at the 11th spot in the Saudi Pro League and have players on their books including Ever Banega, Yannick Carrasco and Roman Saiss.
