Former Chelsea coach set to return to EPL with Tottenham
Former Chelsea manager and Italy international, Antonio Conte is reportedly said to be planning a return to the Premier League.
The report revealed that Conte would be joining North London club, Tottenham Hotspur.
Conte is said to be considering the move despite leading Inter to victory in the Italian Serie A this season.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to have offered the Italian a huge salary in a bid to try and convince him to leave Inter Milan this summer, according to La Stampa.
The report revealed that the financial situation at San Siro is part of the reasons why the Italian manager is considering a move away from the club.
This is because Inter Milan have not shown any signs that they want to invest in the team before next season.
On the other hand, Tottenham are said to be keeping all of their players at the club and would also be handing Conte some funds to make some transfer and shape the team as he deems fit.
Also, Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy has proposed a contract offer worth as much as £17 million a year to Conte which is higher than the £11m-a-year salary the Italian is on in Italy.
While the Hotspurs will be playing in the Europa Conference League and Inter Milan in the Champions, Conte is said to believe that the English side have put forward a better offer.
