Fofana reacts to link to Chelsea

With Chelsea in the race for a new defender following the possible departure of the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, the Blues have been linked with transfer moves for some new defenders in the coming transfers windows.

One of Chelsea’s targets is Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, who in a recent statement has revealed he would be interested in a move to Chelsea.

He stressed that it would be a dream come true if he were able to move to Stamford Bridge.

Reacting to the link to Chelsea during a discussion on Twitter Spaces on Wednesday night, Fofana admitted that he ‘dreams’ of a move to Chelsea.

“I have been a Marseille fan since I was born,” Fofana said.

“Marseille, it is a dream. We don’t know what is waiting for us in football.

“There is Marseille, Real Madrid, Barcelona. In the Premier League, Chelsea, Man United, Man City… but you have to work to achieve your dreams. Through work, you can succeed in it all.”

Fofana moved to Leicester City from Saint Etienne last summer, and it is unlikely that the Foxes would let him leave, let alone join Chelsea.
