FIFA club world cup: Chelsea players that won individual awards

Chelsea returned to action on Saturday night when they faced Brazil side Palmeiras in the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

The game saw the Blues with a 2-1 scoreline thanks to a goal from Romelu Lukaku and a late penalty from Kai Havetz.

Chelsea went on to win the FIFA club world cup for the first time in history.

However, there are also some Chelsea players that won individual awards from the tournament.

Chelsea defender and Brazil international Thiago Silva won the Player of the FIFA Club World Cup tournament (Golden Ball) award and Player of the Match award after his side defeated Palmeiras in the final.

Silva defeated the likes of Palmeiras stars, Dudu and Danilo to win the Golden Ball award, who won the Silver and Bronze Ball awards respectively for second and third place best players of the tournament.

Chelsea captain, César Azpilicueta, won the FIFA Fair Play award.

The Blues will now focus on the Premier League and Uefa Champions League tournament.
