FA Cup: Ten Hag reacts to Man Utd 4-3 win vs Liverpool

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has lauded his players after their recent 4-3 win against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Amad Diallo gave the Red Devils the winning goal in the last moments of extra-time at Old Trafford, as the Red Devils won one of their biggest FA Cup ties ever.

Liverpool were minutes away from qualifying on two occasions only for Man United to score two equalisers and an astonishing winner.

“The first 35 minutes I think was the best minutes from our season,” Ten Hag told ITV.

“We were really there, acting as a team. But then gaps in between the lines and you can’t allow this against Liverpool. Then they outplay you.

“And also after half-time, it continues.

“We had to change. We went into the risk, we went into one against one, and the players were wonderful – the mentality, the attitude was so great.

“They had strong belief to win this game. We went for it and we got it.”
