FA Cup: Pochettino reacts to Chelsea’s loss Vs Man City
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s chance of lifting a trophy in his first season at Stamford Bridge is off the table after the Blues were kicked out of the FA Cup tournament by Man City in a 1-0 scoreline.
In a post-match statement, Pochettino, has blamed the Blues’ profligacy for their 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final.
While the Blues dominated most of the game, they failed to convert the chances that fell their way.
Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson was the main culprit, as he fluffed his lines over and over during the match and has come under criticisms from the club’s fans online.
The defeat means Chelsea are ending this campaign without a trophy.
Pochettino, speaking on BBC One, said: “It is so easy to explain. We conceded in a moment you should not concede. We were not capable of being clinical in front of goal, we had many chances but we did not score.
“I think in the game we were a little bit better and deserved more, but it is not about deserving it, it is about being clinical and we were not today.”
