FA Cup: Man City vs Chelsea – Prediction

Chelsea will return on Sunday evening to the English FA Cup when they face Man City.

Ahead of the game Chris Sutton has tipped Manchester City to once again defeat Chelsea during their FA Cup third-round meeting.

So far this season, Chelsea have already suffered two defeats to Man City.

The first was when the Citizens kicked the Blues out of the Carabao League in 2022.

Again, Chelsea in 2023 suffered a 1-0 defeat to Man City in the English Premier League which was hosted at Stamford Bridge.

The Citizens picked all three points during the match thanks to a goal by Riyad Mahrez.

Like Sutton, many believe Chelsea will suffer another defeat in the FA Cup.

“Chelsea have far bigger problems right through their team and, although it was close when they met at Stamford Bridge in the league on Thursday, I am expecting Pep Guardiola’s side to beat them comfortably at Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Last year’s runners up have reached four of the past five FA Cup finals, but they won’t make it to Wembley this time,” Sutton said.
