EPL: Why Leeds United defeated Chelsea

Leeds United manager, Jesse Marsch, has reacted to his side latest win in the Premier League against Chelsea as he gave a reason why his team won.

Marsch’s side won the game with a 3-0 scoreline thanks to goals from Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo Moreno, and Jack Harrison at Elland Road.

He, however, stressed that Leeds won against Chelsea because his players were ‘aggressive’ against the west London side during the encounter.

Speaking after the game, Marsch told NBC Sports: “That’s not the way we are ever gonna play [sitting back], but you have to calculate how you’re going to play against these opponents.

“I think that’s what is so pleasing, we were clear on the pitch and aggressive.”

Leeds United will be heading to their next Premier League tie, which is against Barnsley in the EFL Cup second round on Wednesday with full confidence.

Chelsea on the other hand don’t have any match in the mid-week but would return to action on Saturday in the EPL when they face Leicester City.
