EPL: Tuchel gives update on Kante ahead of game vs Leicester City

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has given a latest update on N’Golo Kante’s injury ahead of their weekend match vs Leicester City.

Tuchel in a press statement said that Kante would take over four weeks to recover from his injury.

This comes after the French midfielder had suffered a hamstring injury during the Blues Premier League 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur a few weeks ago.

Kante had started the match at Stamford Bridge, putting on an impressive performance in what was a heated clash before getting into a tangle with Yves Bissouma seven minutes from time.

Giving the latest update on Kante, Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference on Friday: “We are talking about four weeks plus. I told you at the end of last season he is our key player normally.

“He gives something to our team that no other player in the world can give to any other team. That makes him a key player. If your key player is out, it’s a situation you don’t like but have to deal with. It has a huge influence.”
