EPL side willing to sign Werner on loan
Chelsea striker Timo Werner has attracted interest from Newcastle United, who are willing to sign him on loan.
Over the past few days, there have been growing speculations linking Werner with moves away from Chelsea.
While Thomas Tuchel wants to keep him at the west London club, Werner is keen on leaving Chelsea for more game time elsewhere.
Werner has struggled to impress at Stamford Bridge since moving there from RB Leipzig.
Last season, he scored on four occasions in the Premier League, while he only made 15 starts in the competition.
According to The Mirror, Newcastle are in talks over a loan deal with Chelsea, which could include an option to buy permanently.
However, Eddie Howe’s side are not ready to pay Werner’s reported £270,000 per week wages in full, which means Chelsea would continue paying a proportion of it.
Another option on the table would be for the German striker to take a wage cut to facilitate his move away from Stamford Bridge.
Aside from Newcastle United, Werner has been linked with a return to his former club RB Leipzig and Italian side Juventus.
