EPL: Ronaldo will have to challenge this three players to win the golden boot

Former football star and pundit Jamie Carragher has listed three players Cristiano Ronaldo will have to challenge for the Golden Boot in the Premier League.

Recall that Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford from the Italian side, Juventus, in the summer transfer window.

The Portuguese star, since his return to the Premier League, has been scoring goals in each of the matches he has played so far this season, which means he is hoping to win the golden boots on his first return.

However, Carragher, in his statement, stressed that Ronaldo would have to challenge Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur, Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea and Mohammed Salah of Liverpool.

The three players are Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

As of the time of this report, Ronaldo has three goals, Salah has four goals and Lukuku has three goals in the Premier League.

Recall that Kane won the golden boot last season and would hope to win it again.

Carragher, in his column for The Telegraph, wrote: “I am certain Ronaldo will challenge Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah and Romelu Lukaku for this season’s golden boot.”

He added that last weekend against Newcastle United on his second United debut showed the mere presence of Portuguese striker in matches is a certainty of goals.
