EPL: It was a team problem – Tuchel refuses to blame Lukaku vs Man City
Chelsea hosted Man City on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League; the game turned out to be the Blues first defeat this season.
The West London side, which defeated Man City three times last season under Thomas Tuchel as manager, failed to repeat the win this weekend as the game ended in a 1-0 win for the Citizens.
Man City scored their lone goal in the second half thanks to an effort from Gabriel Jesus.
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku didn’t have a shot on target during the clash against Man City.

The Blues coach, in a post-match statement, has refused to blame Lukaku for Chelsea’s struggle as he believes it was a team problem.
“I don’t think it is necessary to talk about Romelu Lukaku struggling today when we reached Romelu, the attack was already half over because there were not enough people, and there was simply no belief and connection,” Tuchel said at his post-match press conference.
“It was a team problem, not an individual problem.”
Chelsea will hope to bounce back in their next match to face Italian giants Juventus in the Italian Seria A.
