EPL: Chelsea to be without four players vs Man City
Chelsea will return to action on Saturday in the English Premier League when they go head to head against league toppers Man City at Etihad stadium.
Ahead of the match, the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed his side will be without four players against the Citizens.
The four players, according to Tuchel, are Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and Andreas Christensen.
Tuchel made this known in his pre-match press conference on Friday as he revealed that Chalobah, James and Chilwell are all injured while Christensen is battling COVID-19.
“No news, which is good news. Trevoh will be out, Reece James out, Ben Chilwell out,” Tuchel said.
“We have one new positive Covid test with Andreas Christensen, so he will be out of the game,” he added.
Man City are currently seated at the top of the league table with 10 points ahead of the Blues who are at the second spot.
Chelsea will head to the match after their recent win vs Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao League on Wednesday night.
