EPL: Chelsea tipped to defeat Man City

Chelsea will face Man City this weekend in what has been described as one of the most anticipated and most challenging games for the Blues.

The West London side would be heading to the game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening following their recent win in the Carabao League.

Ahead of the match, popular football pundit Paul Merson has tipped the Blues as favourite to win the game.

According to Merson, the Blues stand a better chance over Man City, who have been struggling to perform in their past few matches.

Providing his predictions, Merson told Sportskeeda, “This is obviously a hard game to call. Chelsea played both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks and ripped both of them to shreds, so I think they will fancy their chances.”

He stressed that Manchester City, on the other hand, have failed to score in two of their first five Premier League games, which is a bit worrying for a team of their calibre. He added that the fact that Man City doesn’t have a centre forward is hurting them already.
