EPL: Chelsea get double boost ahead of game vs Newcastle United

Chelsea have been handed a major boost ahead of the next Premier League game vs Newcastle United this weekend as the club’s football return after the international break.

The recent reports have revealed that the Blues duo Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto returned to training ahead of the Newcastle tie.

Recall that Colwill withdrew from the England squad ahead of the final Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia due to a shoulder problem.

He was also unavailable during  Chelsea’s 4-4 draw against Manchester City prior to the international break.

Gusto, on the other hand, withdrew from the France Under-21 squad with a knee injury.

However, there was good news for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this week as both defenders returned to the training pitch and are expected to be available for the away match against Newcastle clash on Saturday.
