EPL: Arsenal and one other club that could challenge Chelsea this season

Former Chelsea star Mikel Obi has predicted the clubs that could win the Premier League title this season aside from the West London side.

Obi, who tipped his former club to win the title, added that Liverpool and Arsenal could also challenge them for the title this season.

The former midfielder opined that Chelsea are currently the best team in the Premier League, praising their style of play under manager Enzo Maresca.

Obi, however, acknowledged Arsenal’s depth this season, stressing that it leaves their manager, Mikel Arteta, with no excuses in his pursuit of the Premier League title this season.

Speaking on The Obi One Podcast, Mikel, a former footballer, said: “I think it’s between Liverpool and Chelsea, we have a good chance of winning it.”

“Right now if you look at what team you think can beat Liverpool, I say Chelsea the way we play. We are the best team in terms of playing out from the back,” he added.

Obi praised manager Maresca, who he said has transformed the Blues’ style and mentality.

As of now Liverpool led by manager Arne Slot are seated at the top of the Premier League table after three games, with Chelsea in second place.
