Dortmund star unwilling to join Chelsea

Chelsea may have been handed a transfer blow this summer as the recent report has disclosed that Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi is unwilling to sign for the Blues.

A report via the Daily Mail had disclosed that the Blues are among the clubs who have shown interest in signing the 22-year-old.

But Adeyemi doesn’t favour a move to Stamford Bridge.

It is no longer news that Chelsea are looking to sign another versatile forward to their ranks ahead of next season.

This comes after Nicolas Jackson struggled to impress for the Blues last season under former manager Mauricio Pochettino.

With Enzo Maresca now in charge at Stamford Bridge, the Blues hierarchy are keen on giving their new manager all the support he needs to be successful and one of them is by signing a new forward.

On the other hand, Adeyemi could get limited playing time next season, with Dortmund close to signing Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart.

The German Bundesliga club have also been linked with moves for Lyon’s Rayan Cherki and Brighton’s Pascal Gross, which means they are open to selling Adeyemi this summer for the right price.

It looks like Chelsea not playing in the Champions League is a reason he might not be interested in playing for the Blues.
