Disappointed Potter speaks after 2-2 draw vs Everton
Chelsea manager Graham Potter in a post-match statement has expressed disappointment at their 2-2 draw vs Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Blues were hopeful of winning all three points but had to share points with the Toffees.
Potter in his statement revealed the Blues didn’t defend well enough which made them concede two goals.
‘We’re really disappointed because we dropped two points at home,’ Potter said in a statement via Chelsea’s website.
‘We wanted to win, I think you saw the intention of the team. There were a lot of positive things in the performance, but ultimately we haven’t defended well enough and to concede two goals means it’s not so easy to win the game. So that’s the disappointing thing for us.”
Meanwhile, some of Chelsea players will now return to their home countries during the international break as the Blues’ next game will be against Aston Villa on April 1.
