Declan Rice reveals next club amid interest from Chelsea, others
Chelsea and Man Utd may have to forget about signing West Ham United captain, Declan Rice this summer as he has taken a stance on his future.
This comes as Rice has opted to remain at West Ham for at least another season.
A report via the Mirror UK revealed that it was Rice’s “final decision” on his future and he will not leave the Hammers, despite interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea.
The decision is believed to be a satisfying one for all parties.
West Ham are keen on keeping Rice for another season, even though he is yet to sign a contract extension with them.
By next summer, the England international will have two years left on his current deal with the Hammers.
However, going by his impressive form this season and, hopefully, next season, West Ham will still be able to command a sizable fee off the 23-year-old year even if he refuses to commit to a long-term contract at the club before then.
Chelsea and Man Utd will have to look elsewhere if they intend to sign a midfielder.
