Deal Done: Chelsea owner reason for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker deal
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich supposedly played a persuasive part in the deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen young playmaker Kai Havertz.
After a long period of speculation, Chelea reported signing the Germany playmaker on a five-year contract on Friday evening.
Kai Havertz becomes the most recent star name to move to Stamford Bridge, joining the likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva.
Notwithstanding, as per report, it was Roman Abramovich who pushed the hardest when it came to concluding the deal.
While Frank Lampard was supportive of the signing of the 21-year-old, the report proposes that Roman Abramovich needed to profit by having less competition for the playmaker’s signature.
Kai Havertz has moved to Stamford Bridge for a fee in the area of £72m, plus add-ons.n addition to additional items.
