Deal Almost DONE: Chelsea close to signing Manchester United transfer target this summer
Chelsea close to signing Manchester United transfer target this summer
The Blues are apparently edging nearer to agreeing a deal over the transfer of Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.
Chelsea look set to reach an accord over a more structured deal for Ben Chilwell, notwithstanding Leicester City waiting for around £80m for the England defender, as per report.
The report includes that Ben Chilwell himself is excited about a move to Stamford Bridge, in what could be an eminent signing for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard as his summer spending spree proceeds.
The West London outfit have just secured deals for Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, and the report propose Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz could both heading to Stamford Bridge.
This report follows a claim that Manchester United were also possibly looking like contenders for the 23-year-ole.
It appears, in any case, that Manchester United haven’t stepped up their enthusiasm for Ben Chilwell, as they’re not referenced in the report on the deal.
The Red Devils fans might be frustrated by that, with Ben Chilwell without a doubt an upgrade on Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams in that area of the field.
Chelsea, however, likely need another signing in that office more after a baffling effort saw them finish without silverware and with the most noticeably terrible defensive record in the top half of the Premier League.

Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso have battled for ChelseaFC, and it appears to be clear Ben Chilwell would be an enormous upgrade after his outstanding form at the King Power Stadium.
