Deal AGREED: Manchester United to sign talented French defender
Manchester United have purportedly dominated the race to sign highly talented defender Willy Kambwala.
Willy Kambwala is set to leave Sochaux’s academy in France to join Manchester United under-18 side.
Ivisionsport guarantees that the Red Devils have consented to pay £3.6m to sign the promising young centre-back.
Manchester United, alongside Liverpool, were connected with Willy Kambwala earlier in the summer but no agreement was reached before now.
The 16-year-old was born in DR Congo, however has been called up by France at Under-16 level.
He will proceed with Manchester United’s cycle of acquiring top young talent in the course of recent months or thereabouts.
There have also been another eight additions to the academy squad so far this year, before Kambwala joined.
Manchester United signed Hannibal Mejbri from France the previous summer. He is currently a regular for the club’s Under-23 side.
