Deal AGREED: Manchester United sign Uruguay winger

Manchester United have reported signing Uruguayan winger Facundo Pellistri from Penarol on a five-year deal, with the choice of another one year.

Facundo Pellistri becomes Manchester United’s fifth signing of the transfer window alongside compatriot Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani, Donny Van de Beek and Amad Traore, who will join sometime in the future.

Addressing the club’s official website, Pellistri stated: To join a club  with the history of Manchester United is a blessing from heaven. I have learnt a lot playing at Penarol and I might want to express gratitude toward them for all that they have done for me. To have the confidence of the manager is an amazing feelings and I realize that working with him will be ideal for my developments.

Facundo Pellistri has the ideal platform at Manchester United to develop and he has the entirety of the specialized characteristics and the correct attitude needed to turn into a top player here. We are generally anticipating working with him to satisfy his potential over the coming years.

The 18-year-old made many appearances in all competitions for Penarol after making his debut last August, scoring two goals for the Primera Division side.
