Deal AGREED: Chelsea complete record deal for Germany international
Agreement have supposedly been finalized between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen for the club-record signing of Kai Havertz.
The two clubs are understood to have settled on a package which will see the talented youngster move to Stamford Bridge for an underlying £71.3m plus £17.8m in add-ons.
The general fee is therefore £89.1m, which is essentially higher than Chelsea’s past record signing – the £72m they paid to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga two years back.
Nonetheless, report in Germany guarantees that the 21-year-old is yet to go through his medical with Chelsea, in spite of reports prior this week.
Kai Havertz is right now on international obligation with Germany ahead of their Nations League matches against Spain and Switzerland, alongside Chelsea pair Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger.
