Deal AGREED: Chelsea boss confirms new signing

Frank Lampard  has affirmed Chelsea are set to complete the signing of goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Talking ahead of an EFL Cup clash with Barnsley, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard told correspondents that Willy Caballero will play in goal this midweek.

Edouard Mendy, however, could be ready for his Chelsea debut when Saturday, when they face West Brom.

Frank Lampard will be anxious to play the Frenchman as quickly as time permits after Kepa Arrizabalaga committed another high profile error at the weekend

Lampard confirms goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is having a medical at the moment. He adds that he made the decision to play Willy Caballero against Barnsley before the Liverpool game.#CHEBAR
