De Gea reacts after conceding five goals to Liverpool
Man Utd goalkeeper and Spain international David De Gea has reacted to his side devastating defeat to Liverpool in the premier league over the weekend.
The Red Devils hosted Liverpool at Old Trafford, and the game saw the visiting side dominate the match from the beginning to the end as De Gea conceded five goals.
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick, while Naby Keita and Diogo Jota got on the scoresheet with one goal each.
The Reds latest win see them in second place behind league toppers Chelsea with only one point difference while Man Utd have dropped down to the seventh spot on the EPL log.
De Gea, after the match, took to social media account to apologise to fans and says “we will not accept this performance”.
The Spaniard wrote: “I feel the pain of our supporters, you give the team everything and we must do the same.
“I love this club and we will not accept this performance.”
Man Utd are faced with difficult games in the next few weeks in the EPL as they will face Tottenham and Man City next.
