Crystal Palace star reportedly wants to play for Arsenal
With the transfer window set to open in January, there are going to be different reports flying all over.
The latest is on the report that Crystal Palace star, Wilfried Zaha is willing to play for Arsenal.
This comes after Arsenal legend David Seaman in a statement said it is “obvious” that Wilfried Zaha wants to leave Crystal Palace to join the Gunners.
Recall that back in the 2019 summer transfer window, the North London club were among the clubs linked with moves to sign the 28-year-old but they dropped out of the chase and instead went on to pay £72million for Nicolas Pepe from Lille.
Well, Crystal Palace coach, Roy Hodgson has declared that the club wouldn’t stand in Zaha’s way should a team come in and meet the asking price for the attacker, but till date, no team have made that move.
Arsenal reportedly makes contact with Man City for this player
Zaha has 3 more years to go off his 5-year contract with Crystal Palace but Seaman says he has no doubts about the quality Zaha possesses, and that he would fit into the Gunners squad well.
“I think Zaha would be a good addition to Arsenal because he’s a proven goal-scorer,” Seaman told the Target Men podcast.
“I don’t know the reason why it hasn’t happened as he obviously wants to come.
“Whether it’s the agents and clubs not agreeing certain things, that must be the reason, but he’s made it clear that he wants to come as he’s an Arsenal fan.
“He would be a good addition to the squad, no doubt at all.”
Only time will tell if the Gunners will make the move.
