Conte reportedly drops six man transfer list for Tottenham
With former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte set to take over at Tottenham Hotspur soon, the recent reports have claimed that the Italy international has handed a six-man transfer list to the Hotspurs.
After the dismissal of Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday, Conte is understood to have agreed on a two-year deal to take the reins at the North London club, thus snubbing supposed interest from Manchester United.
The Calciomercato, in a recent report has now claimed that Conte has requested a transfer budget of €280m (£237.7m) if he is to take over at Tottenham.
This means Conte intends to raid the Italian Serie A for six signings in the January transfer window.
The first two players on Conte wishlist are Juventus players Federico Chiesa and Matthijs de Ligt, valued between €80m and €70m, respectively.
The former Chelsea boss also plans to sign two players from his former club Inter Milan in the form of defender Stefan de Vrij, who could cost €30m (£25.5m), and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who is out of contract next summer.
AC Milan centre-back Alessio Romagnoli is another player believed to be on Conte’s six-man shortlist and would cost €10m (£8.5m) in January, as his contract expires in June 2022, while Fiorentina’s in-demand striker Dusan Vlahovic is also on the list and would cost q£76.5m (€90m).
