Chelsea’s forgotten man urged to move permanently from the club so as to revive career
Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi has been advised to take the bold step of forgetting a career at Stamford Bridge and move out of the club for greener pasture.
Batshuayi is among the long list of young players Chelsea have sent on loan to reduce their wage bill and this season loan move is the fourth the Belgium international will be going in four seasons.
The young forward is currently at Crystal Palace where he’s having his second loan spell and he hasn’t shown any signs that warrant Chelsea giving him a chance at Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi record at Selhurst Park this season is just one goal in 16 Premier League appearances and he has been forced to start from the on most times.
Former Belgium striker Erwin Vandenbergh have now advised his countryman to take the footsteps of Romelu Lukaku and leave the London club.
Erwin Vandenbergh while speaking with Voetbalkrant stated that in principle, moving out of Chelsea would not be a bad choice for Batshuayi as he has been in the Premier League for several seasons now and it doesn’t work. So it wouldn’t be a problem to take a step back.
Lukaku’s time at Chelsea was also not fruitful as he joined the club in 2011, and had loan spells with the Baggies and Everton before joining them permanently in 2014.
Things changed in Everton and he was subsequently signed by Manchester United before he made the move to Inter Milan where he’s currently banging in goals.
