Chelsea winger praised for being super intelligent
Former Liverpool midfielder, Danny Murphy has nothing but praises for Chelsea winger Cole Palmer for his displays for the Blues this season.
Murphy stated that the 22-year-old England star helped make manager Enzo Maresca’s squad thick, while describing him as a super intelligent player.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Murphy said Chelsea have no doubt got some super players, the best one being Palmer.
Recall that Palmer scored the third goal for Chelsea during their weekend match against West Ham in the Premier League followed by Nicolas Jackson’s brace.
The English winger has been impressive for the Blues since joining the Premier League west London club from Manchester City last year.
He could easily be tagged the best player Chelsea have signed under their new owner Todd Boehly so far as others have struggled to make impacts.
Jackson for one recently started improving under manager Maresca, having struggled in front of the goal last season under former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will return to action tonight when they host Barrow at Stamford Bridge in the EFL Cup.
It is yet to be known if Maresca will rest or start Palmer against Barrow as they have another key game to play against Brighton come this weekend.
