Chelsea are keen on adding a new striker to their squad this summer and are willing to let go of their underperforming attacker Nicolas Jackson if the need arises.

The Blues have been linked with moves for Alexander Isak from Newcastle United and are determined to secure a deal for him this summer transfer window.

According to recent reports, the Blues are willing to offer Jackson in their bid to lower Isak’s £115million asking price.

A report via The Sun revealed that Chelsea want Isak to lead their attack next season under newly appointed manager Enzo Maresca.

Recall that Jackson endured a mixed debut campaign at Stamford Bridge after joining the Blues from Villarreal.

Jackson managed to score 17 goals and created six assists across all competitions amid his struggles.

But there are speculations that Chelsea are ready to send the Senegal star to Newcastle United if they can sign Isak.

Unlike Jackson, Isak finished last season with a stunning tally of 25 goals in 40 appearances, including 21 in the league.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s new boss Maresca is expected to resume at Stamford Bridge on Monday, July 1 and will take active part in their summer transfer process.
