Chelsea want €7 million for this defender
Chelsea are ready to let their defender and captain Cesar Azpilicueta leave the club this summer.
However, the Blues want €7 million for Azpilicueta, who has been linked with moves to the Spanish side Barcelona.
The Spaniard has one year left on his current contract with the Blues and the reports revealed he has already reached a personal agreement with the Catalans, having spent 10 years at Chelsea.
According to the Standard, Chelsea have informed Barcelona that they will need to pay £7m to prise the defender away from West London.
The Blues hope to make the £7m fees they paid to sign Azpilicueta from Marseille in 2012, although the report indicates there is room for negotiation.
While Thomas Tuchel has allegedly expressed a desire to keep the Spaniard at Stamford Bridge, he may however have a change of heart since the Blues are now closing in on Nathan Ake to Chelsea.
If the deal happens, Azpilicueta will be allowed to leave.
For Azpilicueta, a move to Barcelona would see him receive £11m per season before tax, which would represent a significant pay rise.
