Chelsea vs Man Utd: Premier League speak on Hudson-Odoi’s handball
The incident that happened at Stamford Bridge over the weekend ddueing the game between Chelsea and Man Utd has become a hot debate.
Rcall that Chelsea player, Callum Hudson Odoi committed a handball offence awhile trying to take a ball possession vs. Man Utd.
While one side said the referee Stuart Allwell should have award the penalty, others were of the opinion that he took the right decision for not awarding the penalty as the stressed that he should have gone to check the VQR.
In a latest statement, the Premier League has now issued has reacted to the incident.
The Premier League in a statement said the referee took to take the decision based on what happened on the field even though he checked the VAR.
: “The VAR asked the referee to look at the incident again, but he stuck to his on-field decision as he felt that Hudson-Odoi didn’t move his hand towards the ball,” the Premier League statement read.
The game between Chelsea and Man Utd ended in a 0-0 draw.
This means Chelsea remain in the fifth spot on the league table, while Man United are seated in the second position with 12 points behind league toppers, Manchester City.
