Chelsea told to pay £53m for Inter goalie

Chelsea have been told to pay £52 million for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.

It is no longer news that the Blues are keen on signing a new goalkeeper as their new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino is not keen on having either Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy In his squad.

The report revealed the former Tottenham manager considers the goalkeeping position a priority, and the club hierarchy are ready to back with significant funds this summer transfer window.

Sport Italia journalist Alfredo Pedulla revealed Inter Milan have clarified that they will not give a transfer fee discount to Chelsea or interested clubs for Onana.

The Italian club would accept £52 million as transfer fee.

Inter Milan also doesn’t want a swap to be added to the deal for Onana, who guided them to their first UEFA Champions League final in 13 years.

Onana who moved to Inter from Dutch club Ajax in 2022 and has established himself as their first-choice goalkeeper.
