Chelsea to recall this 20-year-old striker in January from Southampton
With Chelsea currently without their key strikers owing to injury issues, a report has claimed that the Blues are considering recalling their striker Armando Broja from Southampton in January.
Boris, 20, has been outstanding at Southampton in recent weeks, having started for the Saints and scored goals for them in EPL matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley.
A report via Goal revealed that Chelsea inserted a recall clause into the temporary deal, which saw Broja join Southampton this summer, and the Blues are now considering whether they should activate it in the winter window.
With Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner out of the Blues squad, having picked up injuries in the 4-0 win over Malmo in the Uefa Champions League last week, coach Thomas Tuchel has been coping without any of his key strikers
The report from Stamford Bridge revealed that Tuchel is considering the idea of integrating Broja into the first team to bolster his squad as well as create competition for Lukaku and Werner when they return to the team.
Southampton, on the other hand, want to keep Broja at least for the rest of the season; it, however, appears they will have to make a move for another replacement in the January transfer market if Chelsea decide to bring him back to Stamford Bridge early.
